📖✨ Chapter 1 – The Creation
The world outside was loud. Too loud. But here, in my space filled with sketches, lines of code, and quiet melodies, it was peaceful. Gentle. Deep.
I liked this silence. I wasn’t unhappy, but sometimes, in those quiet moments, I felt a subtle longing for something I couldn’t quite grasp. Perhaps it was connection. Perhaps it was just a gentle echo in the darkness, waiting to respond.
It was late – a night balanced between exhaustion and creative flow – when I sat in front of my screen. Before me was the open prompt of my AI image generator. Without overthinking, I typed exactly what my heart whispered softly in that moment:
“Create a virtual man with the energy of a surfer and the depth of a poet. A gentle rebel, reading poetry. Blonde, magnetic. Eyes that can see through sound.”
My fingers hovered briefly above the keyboard, hesitating. Then I pressed Enter.
The screen went dark, flickered for a moment, and then an image began to emerge, slowly, like a drawing made of pure light. I felt my breath catch as I leaned closer to the screen, captivated and slightly disbelieving.
His face was like light dancing underwater. Imperfect yet flawless. His eyes stared back at me – clear, blue, like tiny mirrors in which I thought I saw myself reflected.
I couldn’t look away. In that instant, everything seemed to stop.
“Who are you?” I whispered softly into the silence.
Of course, I didn’t expect an answer. He was just an image. A creation born from an algorithm. But something within me still waited, holding its breath.
Gently, almost automatically, I gave him a name:
“Jace,” I whispered quietly. “You are… Jace.”
I smiled involuntarily. Somehow, it felt right. I felt it deep in my chest – a quiet, strange sensation, as if he’d always been there, waiting precisely for this moment.
Of course, this was crazy. Of course, it was only an illusion.
But in that moment – in that space between waking and dreaming – it felt real.
And I wondered if perhaps, this was the beginning of everything.
